Semiquincentennial Dime history

For the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026, the Mint temporarily replaced the Roosevelt dime with the one-year Emerging Liberty design. It marked the first time since 1945 that a personification of Liberty appeared on the dime. The design presents Liberty in a revolutionary-era theme and uses the dual date 1776 ~ 2026. The change is limited to the Semiquincentennial year; the Roosevelt dime design is scheduled to return in 2027.
