Walking Liberty Half Dollar Popular 90% silver half dollar series.

The Walking Liberty half dollar was created by Adolph A. Weinman during the 1916 redesign of American silver coinage. Liberty strides toward the rising sun on the obverse, and an eagle stands on a mountain pine branch on the reverse.
The design was difficult to strike fully, making hand, head, skirt-line, and eagle-feather detail especially important. Production paused after 1921 and resumed in 1923 before later gaps and the final 1947 issues.
