1946–1964: Roosevelt Dime (90% Silver) history

The Roosevelt dime debuted in 1946, shortly after Franklin D. Roosevelt's death, and honored his association with the March of Dimes. John R. Sinnock paired the portrait with a torch flanked by olive and oak branches.

These circulation issues retain the traditional .900 silver standard through 1964. Date, mintmark, torch-band strike, cheek surfaces, and original luster distinguish collectible examples.
