2001–2025: Roosevelt Dime (Copper-Nickel Clad) history

The clad Roosevelt dime entered the twenty-first century with John R. Sinnock's portrait and torch reverse unchanged. The coin remains a circulation issue on the copper-nickel clad standard introduced in 1965.

The Roosevelt dime design pauses for the one-year 2026 Emerging Liberty Semiquincentennial dime and is scheduled to return in 2027.

Because the design span is long, date, mintmark, proof status, torch-band strike, and surface quality provide more useful distinctions than a generic series description.
